Also known as the Ladies Auxiliary, the Liverpool Philoptochos is a philanthropic society of women who volunteer their time to the service of charity. Our team works tirelessly to express Christ’s love by helping vulnerable members of our community as well as serving and supporting our parishioners 

 

Our current missions include operating The Ark of Love - a free community grocery store that has been designed to supply food and household supplies to families that are facing financial hardship. We also coordinate The Community Feed, which is a weekly feed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, hosted in the heart of Liverpool & Campbelltown that provides struggling community members with a hot meal. We also fundraise to support anyone who approaches our Church in need, helping them in any way that we can.

 

While our main purpose is to serve these vulnerable communities, we also support the community engagement initiatives of our parish by hosting various events such as dances and feast day festivals, supporting our Sunday school and Greek school, operating our parish bookstore and welcoming friends and guests for a coffee / meal after services.
